Why is it so important to service your boiler regularly?

We often get asked here in Wrenbury (South Cheshire) why is it so important to get your boiler serviced regularly? Similiar to a vehicle service a boiler service is a bit like a health check and there are three simple answers to that question...

1. To identify any faults with the boiler that could become more serious and in some cases life threatening issues like carbon monoxide leaks.

2. To prolong the life span of the boiler by replacing old filters and just generally keeping the boiler clean, in top condition and running smoothly. Your boiler may still be under guarantee in which case damaged parts could be repaired or replaced free of charge, so it's still just as important to service new boilers!

3. To improve efficiency. If you keep your boiler in good condition and running smoothly the chances are the output will be much greater - keeping your energy bills low!

Whether you have an oil boiler, gas boiler or LPG boiler the principles behind servicing remain the same. Ideally your boiler should be serviced every 12 months ( this is a legal requirement for landlords) and it's safe to say that it pays for itself. For more information on boiler servicing you can head to the Gas Safe or Oftec websites.

If you would like to book in for a service get in touch and we can arrange a time for Scott to carry this out.
